Villa Lontana Records presents a solo performance by Donato Dozzy on the EMS Synthi AKS in our new studio space. Donato Dozzy (aka 'The Professor') is an iconic Rome-based DJ/producer. His brand of ambient techno is lush and hypnotic to the point of being therapeutic. His recordings, as well as his DJ sets and performances, typically consist of slowly evolving washes of sound with minimal yet detailed beats and occasional presence of natural sounds, or synthetic textures that imitate them. Working across classical and contemporary settings, his sound stretches a wide range of genres and he collaborated with a wide range of artists and musicians like Daniele Di Gregorio and Giuseppe Tillieci (a.k.a. Neel). He is also the co-owner of the label Spazio Disponibile, focusing on left-field electronic music.
