Andrés Saenz de Sicilia responds to the domestic interior spaces of Residency 80121 to create a site specific durational sound performance in collaboration with Walter Maioli. Both artists engage with the potency of sound, responding to notions of historical location and situation. Archeological overtones and undertones arise from the historical inhabitation of Residency 80121. The unfolding sounds and the instrumental passages and interludes may infer the various mythological constructs of the city of Naples and the metaphor of water as a conduit for storytelling.
